Concrete Cut, Cracked Junction Found, Fixed Properly
The team at Housecare Plumbing was back at it with a heavy-duty job: renewing a broken section of an underground sewer line hidden beneath solid concrete.
The Process
1️⃣ Cutting & Prepping
We marked out the line and cut through about 3 metres of concrete all the way to the back. To get enough room for the excavation, we had to temporarily remove a window frame.
2️⃣ Finding the Culprit
Once we dug down, we found the issue. The old crockery boundary junction was completely cracked and broken, causing a major blockage risk.
3️⃣ The Upgrade
We ripped out the old damaged pipe, put a brand new junction in, and made a clean PVC riser elbow to connect everything perfectly back to the outside line.
4️⃣ Reinstating the Site
With the plumbing sorted, we put the window back on, laid down the steel mesh for reinforcement, and prepped the area for fresh concrete.
Customer’s drainage is back to 100%.
